Overview
Credit Technology, part of SettlementOne Data, LLC, is a Consumer Reporting Agency providing Consumer Reports and services on those reports to our Mortgage and Applicant Screening customers ('End Users'). Consumer Reports may contain credit history, credit scores, public record information, and other forms of data. Information contained in our Consumer Reports is not collected from this website. Credit Technology does not sell personal information directly collected, we are classified as a Reseller.

This privacy policy is not a contract and does not create any legal rights or obligations.

Security & Confidentiality
Credit Technology or its customers may collect or use personally identifiable information exclusively in conjunCredit Technologyon with a business transaction. As a steward of information, Credit Technology is committed to protecting and disposing of the data we possess through the use of administrative, physical, and technical safeguards. Our security program is designed to: (1) ensure the security and confidentiality of personal information, (2) protect against any anticipated threats or hazards to the security or integrity of the information, and (3) protect against unauthorized access, alteration, and unlawful disclosure of the information. We dispose of such information by taking reasonable measures to protect against unauthorized access to or use of the information. Credit Technology does not maintain a database of consumer information.

California Privacy Rights
When California consumers provide personal information to a business, they have the right to request certain disclosures if that business shares personal information with third parties for the third parties' direct marketing purposes. Once per calendar year the consumer may request that the business provide a list of companies with which it shares personal information for those companies' direct marketing purposes, and a list of the categories of personal information that the business shares.

Credit Technology does not sell products or services directly to individual consumers. However, you may request information about our compliance with this law by contacting us. Any such inquiry must include 'California Privacy Rights Request' in the first line of the description and include your name, street address, city, state, and ZIP code. Please note that we are only required to respond to one request per consumer each year, and we are not required to respond to requests made by means other than through the contact methods listed below.

Right To Opt-Out
The CCPA provides consumers with the right, at any time, to opt-out of a business's sale of a consumer's personal information to third parties. Businesses that sell personal information to third parties are required to provide notice that personal information may be sold and that consumers have the right to opt-out. Credit Technology does not send marketing communications directly to consumers nor do we sell consumer information to other third parties. If you would like to opt-out of credit offers and stop Trigger Leads please take the following steps:

  • Register for Opt-Out Prescreen at optoutprescreen.com.
  • Register name and phone number to reduce telemarketing efforts on the National Do Not Call Registry at donotcall.gov.

California Consumer Rights Request
Your California Privacy Rights Request may be sent to Credit Technology via US Mail, or electronic mail at the contact information given below.

  • You have the right to request the categories of the specific pieces of personal information Credit Technology holds about you, the categories of the sources from which the information was collected, the business purpose for collection or selling the information, and the categories of third parties with which the information was shared.
  • You have the right to request that we rectify information Credit Technology holds about you if it is inaccurate or not complete.
  • You have the right to request that we let you know if your personal information has been shared/disclosed and to whom.
  • You have the right to request the categories of third parties your information has been shared with.
  • You have the right to request information on how to opt-out of the sale of your personal information.
  • You have the right to request that Credit Technology erases your personal data from our system.

Once a verifiable request is received, the required information will be delivered free of charge within 45 days of receiving the request. Time period to provide the required information may be extended once by an additional 45 days when reasonably necessary, provided that the consumer notified of the extension within the first 45 day period.

The disclosure shall cover the 12-month period preceding receipt of the verifiable request and shall be made in writing and delivered to the consumer via US Mail.

Credit Technology will provide information at any time but is not required to provide information to a consumer more than twice in any 12-month period.

Children & Teen Data
The CCPA generally prohibits businesses from selling data of consumers that they have actual knowledge are under 16, unless they have received opt-in consent (i.e., affirmative authorization) for such sale from: (1) for consumers under 13, the consumer's parent or guardian; or (2) for consumers aged 13-16, the consent of the consumer.

Non-Discrimination
The CCPA prohibits covered businesses from discriminating against consumers for exercising any of their rights created by the law. This includes: (1) denying goods or services; (2) charging different prices, including via benefits or penalties; (3) providing a different level of quality; or (4) suggesting that the consumer will receive a different price or quality.

Data We Collect
Credit Technology does not collect personal data directly from consumers. Instead, we receive consumer personal data from our customers (End Users) to the extent required to perform our services (Consumer Reports). We may also acquire personal data from a third party as required to perform services requested by our customers. Credit Technology is not responsible for third-party use of information.

Personal Identifying Information ('PII') is data that can be used to uniquely identify an individual. Examples may include Name, DOB, SSN, Address, Phone Number, and Email Address.

Credit Technology requires PII in order to provide our services in connection with your mortgage/rental application.

PII collected by your lender/broker/property manager when you apply for a mortgage/rental is entered into our systems, and is transmitted securely to obtain your credit data, scores, and other related services.

Storage Of Personal Data
Credit Technology will retain personal data for the period necessary to comply with state, local, federal data retention requirements.

Transfer Of Personal Data
Personal information may be transferred, accessed and stored within our locations as necessary for the uses stated above in accordance with this notice and in compliance with local law and regulations. Data will not be transferred or stored in locations outside the United States.

Website Privacy

Personal Information
As a user of our website, you control the personal information you send to us when using our online forms. Credit Technology does not track your online activities over time and across third party websites. You may elect to share personal information with us such as name, an email or physical address, or telephone number, and any other personal information you choose to provide. We use information you send to us through the contact pages on this website to respond to your inquiries or comments.

Cookies
Cookies are pieces of information generated by a web server and stored in your computer. This site does NOT make use of cookies. Credit Technology's secured systems, available to existing customers only, do use session cookies. Session cookies are deleted upon close of the browser window.

Information Automatically Collected
When you visit the website, we automatically collect certain information, such as your IP address, device ID, browser type and operating system, the domain from which you came, the page you are viewing, and the date and time of your visit. We use this information for a number of purposes, such as investigating security incidents, running analytics to understand usage, and for compliance with security standards. This information is not used for marketing purposes.

Information Sharing & Disclosure
We only share your information with approved data providers to the extent required to perform our services. We do not intend to share your information with third parties for any other purpose however, we may disclose your information when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process or enforceable governmental request, when necessary to protect our rights, or when necessary to investigate, take action, or prevent suspected or actual illegal activities, fraud, or potential threats to safety or personal physical safety.

Privacy Statement (Existing Customers)

Credit Technology values your right and your customers' rights to privacy. We are committed to the safety, security, and confidentiality of all personal and corporate identifying information. The information we request from you will be used only to process your request, and to contact you for corrections that may be needed to process your request. This information will only be disclosed when required by law.

Credit Technology will never ask you for your password. If we need information for troubleshooting purposes, we will refer you to a specialist that will have access to your account data. Please do not share or release your password to anyone. To help protect your password, never save it on your computer, as your computer can potentially be hacked into or stolen.

Credit Technology does not resell or share any identifying personal, corporate, or demographic information gained through this process to other companies or entities in any way. However, non-identifying aggregate information for our characterizations of types of companies or participants in the system may be used. Credit Technology may use demographic and contact information for its own internal communications and marketing efforts unless you specifically choose otherwise.

We do not sell or share e-mail addresses or any other information with third parties. E-mail addresses and other volunteered information are kept confidential.

Data Collection
All activities performed on the system are logged. We will periodically check the log files for irregularities or possibly malicious actions. This measure helps with the early detection of illegal activities and/or possible equipment failure. This logged data may also be analyzed to determine how we can upgrade our system to better service you. When used in the course of scientific or research purposes, all reasonable identifying information is removed.

Cookies
Credit Technology does not initiate cookies on behalf of third parties within this system. This system does not store sensitive or personal identifying information in cookies. However, non-persistent cookies may be required to maintain session state.

Security
Security is the forte of Credit Technology and we take great pride in the trust you have placed in us to safeguard your data. As an extra precaution to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control, Credit Technology is audited by an independent 3rd party annually. Users, however, are responsible for the safekeeping of their own login/password and for any misuse of such information.
